Self doubt and lack of self worth

Do you find yourself doubting yourself? Thinking “How can I do this?” “Am I good enough?” “What will others think?” “I’m not worthy of this!”… Etc

Often stuck in the course of life. Lost in the turmoil inside, The questions you ask yourself about your abilities and the doubts about what you are doing often block you from progressing and seeing the reality of life.

Allah SWT gives us one of the greatest gifts to hold onto. A superpower that keeps us going and if we have this. We will never fall back. That power is Hope.

Hope, Hope, Hope

Allah SWT tells us in his own words

“Say, My servants, you who have transgressed against yourselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Truly Allah forgives all wrong actions. He is the Ever-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. (Quran 39:53)

A very big reminder that belief In Allah makes certain that we never despair of Allah’s mercy! So when there is no despair there’s always HOPE!

Certainly, no one despairs Allah’s Mercy, except the people who disbelieve. (Quran 12:87)

The fact that Allah knows you better than anyone else, that he knew that you will falter. That you will need to find your way back. That you will need to overcome your feelings of despair and have hope in him! Shows us that we are so lucky to have such a merciful creator, whom forgives all sins as long as we believe and turn to him. The knowledge that you can’t be lost in the problem and the solution is with Allah. This deens is full of mercy forgiveness and hope for those whim believe, how strong is your believe?

Allah SWT says;

“Those who, when they act indecently or wrong themselves, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their bad actions (and who can forgive bad actions except Allah?) and do not knowingly persist in what they were doing.” (Qur’an, 3:135)

Subhanallah, Allah gave us solutions to the problems we THINK we are drowning in. but there’s really nothing to drown in, there’s no water, but there is the rope of Allah to hold onto.

The Prophet said, “Verily, this Quran is a rope. One end is in the hand of Allah and the other end is in your hands. Hold fast to it, for you will never be led astray or ruined ever again.”

It’s like Allah SWT has parted the sea ahead for us as he did to Musa A.S. And yet we cannot see that safe path given to us. We choose to FEEL like we are drowning. Because we have given up on the biggest power and asset we have. HOPE. and BELIEF

Overwhelming feelings only comes when we choose to let go of hope and then everything seems too much in our minds … in doing so allowing the feeling and thoughts too much power!

Why do we do it? More often than not. It’s because we are afraid of something other than Allah. We give that person or people too much importance, and when we feel like they are displeased with us. We lose hope in ourselves. We lose faith. We start believing negative thoughts. But the reality is when you are forgiven by Allah SWT for the gravest of sins, when Allah SWT knows and is pleased with your repentance. Then is it worth losing hope? Do you need to drown? Or can you walk through with grace, because you have Allah on your side?

I leave you with the words of Allah

“Do not give up and do not be downhearted. You shall be uppermost if you are believers” (Qur’an, 3:139)
