Are you feeling overwhelmed, do you feel overburdened?
Do you wake up in the mornings, Mind always racing, tired and exhausted. Waking up thinking you have too much on your plate and no one to share it with because you feel alone!
Does this sound like you? The question is, is that really? Or is this what we think, and tell ourselves?
Now ask yourself these questions:
*Does Allah SWT overburden us?
*Do we ever have too much to cope with?
*Are we ever alone?
*When we have Allah can we ever be alone?
Allah says
لَا يُكَلِّفُ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ
Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope…(2:286)
It only takes a moment of realisation, a moment of insight, to comprehend that you’re not alone. You never have been! Allah is always with us.
And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. (Al-Baqarah 2:186)
Just because we feel something doesn’t make it true. Our feelings are not facts. How often do we stop to question our feelings, or do we find it easier to accept them as a reality.
Truth is, there are so many people out there whom have gone through these feelings. But we can’t see it because we believe that we are alone and so we feel like we are alone.
I remember living like this. Wallowing in darkness feeling alone and exhausted. My life transformed when I embraced the waves of mercy and tranquillity that came from the realisation that I was not my feelings or my thoughts! I was never alone… I had Allah. I have always had Allah. And always will, SubhanAllah!
From the moment that I accepted that thought and it became a core belief for me, I felt completely different, my feelings and thinking changed. I was no longer in victim mode, I was now a complete being with or without other peoples validation of me. Because I have Allah.
It brought me up from a place where I was sinking, to a place of safety and security.
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوب”
Is it not with the remembrance of Allah that hearts find tranquillity/security?” (13:28)
You see sisters, I used to feel like I was sinking in my own life because I felt like i didn’t have anything to hold onto. And then I found my super power! I had an insight; that I had the ultimate power of mind, and I had the choice to think how I wanted, and do what I wanted, if I chose to take that path.
You are not a person who can’t; in fact you are full of I cans. You choose the cants and I cans. Your limits come from your belief in yourself.
We always have the right amount of whatever we need on our plate. If it feels too much, we still have the power to change things. How? Because the choice is yours!
Alhamdulillah!
So, sisters, next time you feel Overwhelmed remember, you always have;
1- The ability to choose your choices in life.
2- The ability to change yourself and your situation by changing your condition and yourself.
3- control over your own thoughts and feelings
Allah SWT never overburdens us, and he always provides us with the strength and support we need to get through any challenges that come our way. We may feel overwhelmed at times, but it’s important to remember that Allah is always there for us, and that we are never truly alone.
So, if you’re feeling overburdened and overwhelmed, it’s time to shift your focus and mindset. Take a deep breath and remember that Allah is always there for you. By doing so, you’ll begin to feel more cantered and grounded, and you’ll be able to tackle the challenges that come your way with a clear and calm mind. You’ll also be better equipped to handle any feelings of anxiety or stress that may arise.
